Candice Kilpatrick Brathwaite is a VP-level copywriter at JPMorgan Chase, but her path to success wasn't a traditional one. Raised in Alabama with no international travel, prestigious internships, or Ivy League education, Candice faced an uphill battle to succeed in the corporate world. 

She endured countless challenges, including navigating corporate etiquette, dealing with unscrupulous startup founders, confronting gender inequality and sexism, and weathering job losses. Candice's candid and relatable storytelling empowers others, especially women, to overcome obstacles and break barriers to achieve their dreams, regardless of their background. 

After university studies, Candice moved to Asia, where she lived with her family, worked as a teacher in international schools, and blogged about her life. She used the success of her blog to land her first content marketing job in New York City 12 years ago.

Candice has done content strategy for some of the world's most famous luxury brands such as BMW and Möet Chandon. She has also worked as front page editor for Yahoo News, created digital marketing strategy for major consumer brands, and grown their social media accounts, gaining them millions of followers. 

She co-authored the book PR Secrets No One Will Ever Tell You: How Influencers Can Make Money Partnering With Brands (2014) with Betsy Smith and Big Rich Money: How To Turn Your Business Intentions Into A Profitable Company (2021) with Katja Presnal.
