Crush Speaker: Michaela Kettner, Senior Manager, Fortum

Michaela Kettner is originally from Germany, came to Finland in 2019, and got a job here immediately.

During the last 5 years, she has switched companies multiple times, because she always found the next best opportunity to apply to – and got the job. Nowadays she works as a manager at Fortum, leads a team of 5 people, and hires new talents to the company herself.

According to Michaela, it was not ‘expertise’ alone that boosted her career. Instead, her success is based on educating herself in psychology, communication, and public speaking, which helped her to overcome mental struggles and to present herself in a confident and skillful way.

As a passionate hiring manager, public speaker, podcaster, and career coach she is now helping others to stand out in job applications, interviews, presentations, and important meetings at work. Her mission to show people how to “Spotlight their TRUE selves” is based on three pillars: building up stable self-confidence, managing their own emotions, and knowing communication hacks based on Neuro-Linguistic Programming.
