Dr. Aura Pyykönen, a mother of three, an obstetrician-gynecologist, and a serial entrepreneur has mission is to tackle the underestimated challenges in women’s health.
Aura’s background lies in clinical work complemented by academic research, focusing on healthcare quality, and she is a strong advocate for equitable health care access.
Her entrepreneurial journey has lead her to found two startups focused on women's health within just two years of transitioning from hospital work.
In 2022, Aura founded Isla, an online women's health clinic, pioneering in the realm of digital maternity care, and quickly expanding to other underserved areas such as perimenopause and PMS. Today she is actively developing Natal Mind initiative, improving perinatal mental health thru an emotion focused approach and an AI powered virtual therapist.
Her dedication to fostering empathy within healthcare has established her as an influential voice for change, advocating for care that not only heals but also understands and respects the journey of every patient.
