Introducing Crush Event Speaker

Margo Roi moved to Finland from the Kyiv region 9 years ago, when she was 18 years old. 

She was working as a programmer when the Russian invasion of Ukraine started and immediately knew she has to do something to help. She took a leave of absence from her programmer job, and founded a FinUA to help Ukrainians. 

Throughout the past year, FinUA managed to build software that has reached more than 360,000 people from different marginalized communities and especially the Ukrainians in Finland (and some European-wide). 

FinUA is the #1 information service for Ukrainians coming to Finland, and they are committed to helping Ukrainians find work, even those who do not speak Finnish, Swedish, or English.

Margo Roi muutti Suomeen Kiovan alueelta 9 vuotta sitten ollessaan 18-vuotias.

Hän työskenteli ohjelmoijana, kun Venäjän hyökkäys Ukrainaan alkoi ja tiesi heti, että hänen oli tehtävä jotain auttaakseen. Hän jäi virkavapaalle ohjelmoijan työstään ja perusti FinUA:n auttamaan ukrainalaisia.

FinUA rakensi kuluneen vuoden aikana ohjelmiston, joka ovat tavoittanut jo yli 360 000 ihmistä eri syrjäytyneistä yhteisöistä ja sen on erityisesti ukrainalaiset jotka ovat tulleet Suomeen.

FinUA on tärkein tietopalvelu Suomeen tuleville ukrainalaisille, ja se on sitoutunut auttamaan ukrainalaisia työnhaussa, myös niitä, jotka eivät puhu suomea, ruotsia tai englantia.
